Game Overview
WHY YOU CAN'T PUT IT DOWN: Human Fall Flat
Wobble, Grab, and Puzzle Your Way Through Dreamscapes
Human Fall Flat hands you control of a physics-driven humanoid with all the structural integrity of a bowl of jelly and tasks you with navigating surreal floating dreamscapes by grabbing, climbing, swinging, and occasionally flinging yourself off ledges in the general direction of progress. The comedy of a wobbly avatar attempting basic motor functions never wears thin.
Physics Puzzles with Infinite Solutions
Each dreamscape presents an environmental puzzle — get a boulder onto a pressure plate, bridge a gap, activate a sequence of switches — but the physics sandbox means there's no single correct solution. Stack boxes to reach a ledge, or use a pole to vault, or swing from a hanging chain, or build a ramp from loose debris, or grab a friend and throw them across. The game doesn't care how you solve it, only that you do.
Co-op Chaos as Core Experience
Solo play is a contemplative puzzle experience. Two-player (or more) co-op is a slapstick comedy generator where one player's careful bridge construction gets hurled into the void by another player's enthusiastic but poorly aimed grab attempt. The game's most viral moments — the physics-fail clips shared across social media — almost all originate in co-op sessions.
Dreamscapes with Distinct Personality
A medieval castle floating in the clouds, a frozen mountain research station, an abandoned water park, a moving train, a power plant with electrified hazards — each dreamscape carries a distinct visual and mechanical theme. The art direction balances surrealism with legibility; the environments are dream-logic weird but never confusing about where to go next.
YOUR CRASH COURSE
Walk, Grab, Climb, and Flail
Control each arm independently — triggers or shoulder buttons to grab, analog sticks to move arms, a jump button, and the general expectation that your avatar will wobble unpredictably through every attempt at precise movement. Mastering the grab-and-pull climbing motion (grab a ledge with one hand, pull up, grab higher with the other) is the gateway skill.
Solve Environmental Puzzles Your Way
Each level presents a clear goal (open the exit, reach the platform, activate the machinery) and scatters physics props throughout the environment. Stacking, swinging, lever-pulling, weight-placing, rolling, bridging, catapulting, and sheer momentum are all valid approaches. The game checks whether the goal is achieved, not whether you achieved it the way the designer intended.
Play Solo or Grab a Friend for Co-op
Local split-screen and online co-op support up to eight players. Cooperative solutions — one player crouches as a stepping stool, another grabs and throws a teammate across a gap, two players counterweight a seesaw bridge — are faster than solo workarounds but require communication. The communication, as often as not, dissolves into laughter at a physics mishap.
Discover the Community Workshop
Custom levels built by the community expand the dreamscape library exponentially. Workshop maps range from deviously difficult precision-platforming gauntlets to narrative adventures with custom voice acting. The creator community has extended the game's lifespan indefinitely, and the best workshop levels rival the official content in design quality.
Customize Your Wobbly Avatar
Unlockable skins, outfits, and paint patterns let you customize your human's appearance — astronaut, construction worker, chicken suit, pixel-art throwback, and hundreds of community-designed outfits from the workshop. The cosmetic variety makes co-op lobbies visually entertaining before anyone even attempts to solve a puzzle.
